Chapter 40

I climb into the front seat of Kris's SUV as I look behind my seat as I see little Mason in the arms of Kris and LC watching over Autumn.

I turn back around as I grab the seat belt and place it over me as I click it into place.

"Everyone buckled?" Sidney asks.
Even though this isn't his car, he makes sure everyone is buckled into the car.

"Yep me and Mason are good," Kris says.

"I'm buckled up too Buffalo Butt,"LC says as she causes me to laugh.

"LC, stop calling me that, your going to get everyone calling me by that," Sidney says as he places the car in reverse as he hit the bottom of the drive, I look my way.

Nothing is coming.

"I'm clear Sid," I say as I watch him turn the wheel to get out of the driveway as he heads down the road.

"Tanger your car sucks to drive,"Sid says as he starts heading for downtown Montreal to get out of here.

"Hey I like it," Kris says as I turn around to see little Mason so close to his daddy.

"Hi Mason, I'm Aaylah. How are you?" I ask as he gets more close to Kris.

"Say hi to her, your going to be seeing her alot with Sid the guy driving, Autumn the baby thats in the back and LC," Kris says as I smiling turning to face forward.

I just look out the front window as i start seeing the sights of Montreal.
It's a big city, way bigger then Pittsburgh is.

"Daddy when we be home?" I hear Mason ask Kris.

"Not for awhile, are you tired or hungry?" Kris asks.

"Hungree," Mason says.

I seen Sidney looking at the mirror back to Mason.

"Hey Mason once we reach the outside of Montreal I'll stop somewhere, do you like McDonald's?" Sidney asks as I look back again at Mason.

I see Mason talking to Kris as I turn around.

"Yes, we will stop at McDonald's," Kris says.

"Alright, LC how is Autumn doing?" Sidney asks as I look over at him as he briefly looks over at me.

"She's just sleeping right now, she looks so peaceful," LC says.

"That's good," Sidney says.

"She should be waking up soon for a bottle and a diaper change," I say.

"Hope its after we get to the McDonalds," LC says.

"Oh it should be hopefully," I say as I watch as Sidney drives and takes a left, as we apporach the big city.
I never seen Montreal until now and I have to say its huge.

"Daddy am I ever coming back here?" Mason asks.

"Oh yeah buddy, we are going to see grandma during the summers," Kris says.

"Why then?" Mason asks.

"I'm a hockey player, I play during the winter,"

"Ohh, can I learn?"

"Sure, there are a few guys how would be willing to help me out and a lady I know too,"
I knew he was talking about me.

"Thank you daddy,"

Sidney drives around Montreal as I look at the signs seeing a McDonald's on it.

"So how far are we going out for Montreal to eat?" Tanger asks.

"Not far, about 10 minutes or so to get away from all this traffic," Sidney says as he stops the car then starts to drive again.

This traffic is horrible, as I see the car in front of us stop again.

"Come on man, go," sidney says as he is starting to get road rage.
I turn behind me as I see LC looking down as she must be looking at Autumn or trying to comfort her.
Turning back around my cell phone begins to go off but my phone is in my diaper bag in the backseat.

"LC can you pass my phone up to me," I ask as I turn my head as she passes it of to Kris and then Kris hands it to me.

"Thank you," I say as I answer the phone.

"Thank you for what?"
It was Vette again.

"Hey Vette whats up?" I as I turn back around.

"Not much, Hows the trip going?" Vette asks.

"It's going good, Autumn has been good, shes in the back with LC right now. I'm riding in the passenger seat. Sid is driving," I say.

"Ahh, so hows Kris's son?"

"He's doing well, trying to warm up still. His name is Mason,"

"I remember his name goofy, so want me to update you on the game?"

"Sure, I'm sure Sid, Kris and LC would like to know the score,"

"Alright, Nicole has something to tell you,"
I hear her pass Nicole the phone.

"Hey Aaylah," Nicole says.

"Hey Nikki, so whats this news you want to tell me?" I ask.

"I asked Jordan out last night and he said yes,"

"You have got some guts girl,"

"What she say?" I hear LC ask.
I cover the phone up.

"She asked Jordan out and he said yes," I say.

"Go Nicole," LC says as I uncover the phone.

"So whens the date?" I ask.

"After the game tonight, its gonna be a late dinner,"

"Well have fun and I will talk to you tomorrow,"

"Thanks, do you want to talk to Vetter again?" Nicole asks.

"Is she wants too that's fine," I say.

"I can't believe she did that," Vette says.

"Me neither, I thought Jordan might have asked her, is Whitters ok with this?" I ask.

"No idea, maybe Sid should text him when you guys stop,"

"Does Ryan know?"

"Oh yeah, Nicole told him last night,"

"Gotacha, hey Sidney is pulling into McDonald's, can I call you when I get back into the states?"

"Sure, talk to you later," Vette says as I see Sidney pulling into the parking lot as he turns the wheel and parks the car.

"Someone is driving the rest of the way back," Sidney says as he turns off the car as I take off my seatbelt.

"Quit complaining Buffalo Butt," LC says as I smile and open the door.

"I'll drive the rest of the way back home," I say as I jump down onto the pavement and I shut the door.
Turning around, I see Mason on the pavement as I see Kris helping LC as I hear Autumn start crying.

"Aaylah come here, someone is being fussy," Kris says as I turn back around and walk around the car, passing Sidney on the way over to the other side of the car.

"Come here baby," I say as Kris places her into my arms as I see Lc coming out of the car with the blanket and diaper bag.

"Here," LC says as she covers up a crying Autumn as I start walking into the building.

"I'm going to the ladies room, want to come with me LC?" I ask.

"Sure, Mason do you have to go potty? You can go with me?" LC asks as I stop and see Mason looking at Kris then at LC.

"Yes," Mason says.
I see Sidney already having the door open for us.

"Thank you kind sir," I say.

"Your welcome babe," Sidney says as I walk in and then turn to the right as I head for the ladies restroom.

Walking down the hallway, I push the ladies door open as I head for the biggest stall.

"LC hand me my diaper bag please," I say as I turn around as she hands me the bag.

"Thank you," I say as I close the door and walk over to the changing table.

"You can do it Mason," LC says as I place a crying autumn on the changing table.

"Ok baby girl, let me get a diaper out," I say as I place a hand on her as I open and grab a diaper and wipes from the bag.

"Ok I got them," I say as I unbutton her onzie and start to take off her dirty diaper.

"You really peed," I say as I take off her diaper, wipe her and placed the new one on as I button her back up.

"Good girl," I say as I grab her in my arm as I use my other hand to throw away the diaper.

"You gotta go pee Aaylah?" LC asks as she knocks on the door.

"Nope I'm good," I say as I pick up the diaper bag and walk out of the stall.
Mason is drying off his hands as LC is standing there.

"We ready?" I ask.

"Yep," LC says as I watch Mason grab her hand as she opens the door.

I walk behind her as the door closes behinds us.
We walk back up the hallway as we see the guys standing there.

"You go pee?" Kris asks as Mason goes over to him.

"Yes daddy, can we eat?" Mason asks.

"Took the words right outta my mouth, ladies go first," Kris says.
I see as Sidney walks over to me.

"Want me to hold her?" Sidney asks.

"Sure," I say as I hand her over to Sid.
I turn around and look at the menu

I really didn't want to eat a lot but I might have no choice.

"Do you see anything?" LC asks as I walk besides her as the guys have the children.

"Only the Southwest Chicken Salad maybe with a medium fry. Not sure if we will stop again," I say.

"Good idea, boys we are ready," LC says as I turn around to see Sidney rocking Autumn and I just smiled.
He has her cradled in his arms with the penguins blanket right on top of her.

"Go ahead and order, we know what we want," Kris says as we walk up to the front countier.

"Welcome to McDonald's. What can I get for you today?" She asks.

"I'll take a Bacon Ranch Chicken salad with grilled chicken with a side order of fries, medium," LC says.

"And to drink?" She asks.

"A water," LC says.

"Is this all together? You four?" She asks.

"Yes ma'am," Sidney says.

"Alright and for you ma'am,"

"I would like a Southwest Chicken Salad with grilled chicken. I also would like a medium fry with that order as well," I say.

"And for a drink?"

"A sprite, I'll get a yummy drink,"

"alright and for you sir,"
She stared back to my left as I knew she was talking to Tanger as I move out of the way so Sidney was there.
I walk pass Sidney as I see Autumn sleeping as I walk over by LC who has Mason by her side.

"Did you tell daddy what you wanted?" LC asks as I stop before getting to them.

"Yep, a chicken nugget meal," Mason says.

"Good, daddy is gonna take real good care of you," LC says.

"I know, who are you to my daddy?" Mason asked as LC looks up at me then back down to Mason.

"I'm your daddy's girlfriend. I'm with him," LC says.

"Whats a girlfriend?" Mason asks.

"Mason, a girlfriend is someone that your dad is with meaning they are together," I say as I walk over to them.

"Ohh, is that what you and that man are?" Mason asks as I look to where he was pointing and he was pointing right to Sid.

"Yes," I say as I watch the guys coming back over here. Sid has one bag in his hand that is under the body of Autumn.

"You ready to go?" Kris asks.

"Yes," LC says as she walks over to Kris and takes some of the drinks out of his hand as I smile taking Mason's hand into mine as we start to walk out.

"Why can't I hold your hand daddy?" Mason asks a hard question.

"My hand's are full bud," Kris says as we walk out of the McDonald's and back over to the car.
I watch as the car lights up as Kris opens up the door.

"So whats the driving deal?" Kris asks as I watch him placing all the bags besides the one into the back seat.

"I'll drive if Sidney doesn't," I say.

"You sure? I mean I can get back behind the wheel," Kris says.

"I can do it, I'm sure I can follow a GPS back into the states," I say.

"Alright," Kris says as he hands me the keys.

"Babe can you help me get her in," Sidney asks as I walk over to the other side of the car as I took Autumn from Sidney's arms as I get into the car.
I place Autumn down gently into the car seat as I buckle her in and place the Penguins blanket over here.

"Simple," I say as I move out of the car.

"Not to me it isn't," Sidney says.

"You'll get used to it," I say as Sidney looks at me as he cups my face.
He looks into my eyes as he closes them as we kiss.

"I love you," Sidney says.

"I love you too, are you gonna seat back here or up front with me?" I ask as we broke our kiss.

"What do you want me to do?" Sidney asks.

"It doesn't matter, hey LC do you want to sit up front with me?" I ask as I turn around to see her lending on the passinger side door.

"Sure, you ok with that Buffalo Butt?" LC asks as I laugh.

"Don't call me that and I'm ok with it," Sidney says.
I smile turning around to kiss Sidney as I head behind the car and to the driver side door.

Opening the door, I hop into the car as I close the door behind me. I place the key in and start up the car to turn the heater on.

"Sid where is my bag at?" I ask as I turn to see Kris holding it in hiss hands.

"Thank you," I say as I grab the bag as he hands me my drink.

Turning back around, I take the salad out as I place my drink in the holder besides me.
Opening the bag, I pull out my salad as I place the dressing on then start to eat it.

"Damn your hungry," LC says as I turn to see her eating on her salad as well as her fries.

"Oh yea," I say as I hurry up to eat the salad.
A couple minutes later, I place my fork inside the thing as I place it into the bag.

I grab my fries out as I hand the bag to LC.

"Place that on the floor over there please," I say.

"sure," LC says as she takes the bag and places it on the floor board.
I grab my drink and take a sip out of it before placing it back.

"Is everyone buckled up?" I ask as I place a fry or two in my mouth.

"Yes we all are back here babe," Sid says as I place the car in reverse as I look in my mirror backing out.
Once out, I place the car in drive and head out of the parking lot and back onto the highway back to home.

"So what should we do now?" LC asks.

"I have no idea," I say as I place more fries in my mouth until I eat them all.

"How about we talk about the new house?" Kris asks.

"What about that?" I ask.

"No I mean where should it be at? should it be in Sewickley Heights? Sewickley? should it be north of the city? south? East?," Kris asks.

"I want to stay near Mario, just in case something happens," LC says.

"I agree with you LC," I say.

"Alright we will stay in that area, hey Sid isn't there some houses down the road from Lemieux?" kris asks.

"I think so, we need to call and see if we can tour them," Sidney says.

They just keep talking as I drive this long road ahead of me.

A few hours pass as I reach the boarder to the USA.

"Passports please," A man says as I stop.

"Sidney I need my passport," I say as I turn my head around as Kris hands me it.

Turning back I hand my passport to the man.

"I need everyones please," He says.
I turn as I see LC getting out a paper thats different then mine as I see her grabbing the others.

"here you go sir," I say as I hand him the three papers.

"Thank you, hold on for a second," He says as I roll up my window.

"What did you guys have?" I ask.

"Its a WHTI, its for Canadian born people," Kris says as the man knocks on the window as I roll it back down.

"Thank you, enter the United States," He says as he hands me the papers and my passport back.

"Thank you sir," I say as i hand all of them to LC as I drive into the USA.

"It's good to be back in the United States," LC says as I drive.

"Yep, hey.." I say as my phone beings to ring.

I hear LC answering my phone with a "Hello,"

"Shes right here hold on Vette," LC says as I place my hand out to grab my phone as I place it by my ear.

"Hey Vette, whats up?" I ask.

"Val just scored," Vette says.

"Yay, did anyone from the other team socred yet?" I ask.

"Nope, everyone is in aww that Sid isn't here,"

"Really? What did the announcers say?"

"They just said that Sid and Kris were healthy scratches for the game. Some people around me were pissed,"

"Ahh gotach, well we are back in the states now with little Mason,"

"Good, how's Autumn been?"

"She's been well, Sidney is sitting back there with her while I drive. LC sat with her until we got out of Montreal,"

"Damnit, you fuckers!!"
The other team must have scored.

"We are one one huh?"

"Yeah, I'll let you go, call me when you get home,"

"Will do. Bye,"
I hang up as I hand the phone back over to LC.

"Whats the score?" Kris asks.

"One one," I say.

"Come on," Kris says.
I just drive as I follow the GPS back into town.

Turning the wheel, I turn right and left into the parking lot of the apartment complex.

"We are home, wake up!!" I exclaim as I turn as I park in a parking place by Sidney's Range Rover.

"Finally," LC says as I place the car in park and turn it off.

"Thank goodness," I say as I unbuckle my seat belt as I open the door up.
I get out of the car as I close the door behind me and walk over to the other side of the car as I see Sidneys standing out with Autumn in her car seat.

"Wow you were fast," I say as I grab the diaper bag from Sidney's arm.

"You can we amazed by my sometimes," Sidney says.

"All the time," I say as i turn around to see Mason over by LC as I see Kris getting out of the car.

"Want me to get her base out of the car?" Kris asks.

"Please, thank you Kris," I say as i watch him get back into the car.

"Let's head up into the apartment, its cold out here," LC says.

"Agreed," I say.
I see Mason holding LC's hand as I follow him and her onto the sidewalk then to the stairs.

I walk up the stairs as i walk behind LC as she opens the door walking in.

"Oh my God," LC says as I walk in behind her.
My apartment is a mess, everything is out of place, the couch cushions were all over the floor.

"Let's get out of here," LC says as I turn around walking into Kris.

"Where you going? Whats wrong?" Kris asks as i hear the door closing.

"Our apartment has been broking into," LC says as I turn and I seen a paper on the door.

"Lc hand me the paper on the door," I say as I watch her take it off and hand it to me.

It read

Dear Ms. Thomason,

Your contact is up and your rent has been passed due. I need that money or you need to pack up that messy apartment and leave the property so we can rent it out. Thank you

Management

I look up and over to LC.

"the manager broke it and made it a mess," I say.

"Let's just go over to Mario's for the night," Sidney says.

"Agreed," I say as the boys turn around and head back down the stairs with me, LC and Mason in tow..

After walking down all those steps, i walk down onto the sidewalk.

"So what car now?" I ask as we stop at the end of the sidewalk.
I'm right beside Sidney as he moves the car carrier from his right arm to his left.

"Doesn't matter," Sidney says.

"Let's just take your car Sid," Kris says.

"Alright," Sidney says as I watch him place his hand in his pocket and after it comes back up, his keys are in his hand.

"Am I driving?" Sidney asks as we start walking for his car.

"Sure, it's only 5 minutes down the street," LC says as I watch Sidney placing his key in to unlock the door.
I see Kris opening the back door behind Sidney's as I see him putting the car seat in.

"Guess Mason you'll be on my lap or Ms. LC's lap," Kris says as I walk behind Sidney.

"I'll put her in," Sidney says as I see Kris moving out of the car.
I watch as Sidney moves pass the door and into the back seat of the car.

"Are you sitting up front or in the back?" Kris asks as he walks over to me, LC and Mason.

"I'll sit in the back with Autumn," I say as I see Sidney moving out from the car.

"Alright, so you want back or front babe?" Kris asks walking over to her.

"I can be in the back, Mason want to sit with me?" LC asks as I look down to Mason nodding his head.

"Alright," Kris says as I see him smirking and looking at LC.

"We get sitting arrangements?" Sidney asks.

"Yep," I say as I walk over to Sidney and give him a peck on the cheek as I walk behind his door and open the back door up.

Getting in, I gently close the back door as I grab my seatbelt to place it over my chest and waist.

I look over as I see Autumn fast asleep.
Smiling I lean over giving her a kiss on the forehead as I hear doors closing.

"She ok babe?" Sidney asks as I look up and into the rearview mirror.

"Yes she's sleeping,"
I hear Sidney start up the car as I feel the car moving back then forward for the main road.

"So who won?" Kris asks.

"We did, 4 to 2," LC says.

"Yeah Boys," Kris says.
Rest of the ride is quiet as I see Sidney pulling into the driveway.

"I'll drop you guys by the front porch," Sidney says as he stops the car.

I open my door as i unbuckle from my seat belt.
Grabbing the car carrier, I place the blanket over top so Autumn won't get too cold as I unhook it from the base.

Moving off my seat, I land on the pavement as I move Autumn out as I shut the door behind me.
I walk a few steps away as I see Sidney going down to the end of the driveway and turning back around.

Walking into the sidewalk, I turn to see Mason on Kris's shoulders as Kris has Lc's hand in his hand as they coming up the sidewalk.

I move out of the way as I smile as they go passed me and onto the front porch.

Hearing a door shut, I turn my head as I see Sidney walking across the driveway and onto the sidewalk.

"Waiting on me?" Sidney asks as I smile.

"Always," I say as Sidney places his hand on top of mine that was on top of the car carrier.
We walk down the rest of the sidewalk and up the stairs onto the front porch.

I watch as Sidney moves ahead as I knew he was opening the door up for us.

"Go ahead in," Sidney says as I watch LC, Kris, and Mason go into the house as I follow them.

"We going to your wing?" LC asks.

"Yes," Sidney says as I walk down the stairs and head down the right side hallway into the living room.

"What you guys doing here?" Mario asks.

"Our apartment is trashed," LC says.
Mario stood up.

"Was it robbed? anything missing?" Mario asks.

"No, our manager torn it apart cause my contact ended and I havent paid rent for one month," I say.

"You two need to move out," Mario says.

"We will be," Sidney says.

"We?" Mario asks.

"All of us are moving out and living in one house," Sidney says.

"That's a good idea but in the meantime, go in there and get to bed. You two have practice in the morning," Mario says.

"Yes sir, Mario I would like you to say hi to my son Mason," Kris says as I look over to see LC smiling.

"Hello there Mason, how are you?" Mario asks.

"Tired," Mason says.

"Get him into bed, I'll see you in the morning Mason,"

I turn as I head for Sidney's wing.
Walking in, I head back for Sidney's room.

"Night Aaylah," LC says.
I turn around.

"Good night LC. See you in the morning," I say as I turn back around and walk into Sidney's room.
I walk over to the bed as I place the carrier down as I remove the blanket off of Autumn.

"Time for bed baby girl," I say as I put her blanket in the middle of the bed.
I unbuckle her from the car seat as I gently remove her from it and place her so gently down on the blanket.
She didn't cry as I slip out of my shoes and get on the other side of the bed.

"You already in.. yep you are," Sidney says as I see him closing the door and walking over to the bed.

"Shh Autumn is asleep," I say as i watch him get into the bed.

"I love you," sidney says.

"I love you too," I say
He leans over and kisses me before laying his head down.

I face him as I smile then look down at autumn.

"Hope she sleeps well," Sidney says.

"me too," I say as I gently close my eyes.

Currently putting this story and another story on hiatus for the moment. Sorry I do have chapter 40 in the works, so when I get unstuck from it I'll write it.

Chapter 39

Opening my eyes, I look over as Sidney still has his eyes shut.
I gently try to get up out of bed as he reaches for me and pulls me back into his arms.

"LC has Autumn and we don't have to get up until 5:30," Sid says as I look behind me at the clock.

It reads 5:25

"Sid thats only 5 minutes away," I say.

"5 minutes we can be in bed longer," Sid says as I just smile.

Where in the world did I find a man like this? That is good to me and everything.
He moves his hands as me makes me closer to him.

"You two need to get up and get ready while you have time," LC says through the crack in the door.

"Are you ready to go LC?" I ask as Sid lets go of me as I climb out of the bed.

"Yes, me and Kris took turns watching Autumn while was got dressed," LC says.

"Alright, I'll get dressed as fast as I can," I say as I turn around to find Sidney going through his bag as I walk over to the closet.

Opening the door, I look through my clothes as I pull down a pink shirt with a white short sweater with jeans and my clog shoes which are black.

"Do you want to change in here or in the bathroom?" Sidney asks.

"We can share the room sid," I say.
I watch as he takes off his shirt as I turn away as I strip out my purple shirt and jeans as I walk over to the mirror

I place my shirt on as I place the sweater on over it as I get my jeans on then my shoes.

"You look cute babe," sidney says as I turn around as he is wearing a grey shirt with the jeans he wore yesterday.

"Thanks, you don't look too bad yourself. You can go out if your done," I say just as I watch him come over to me as he wraps his arms around me.
He leans over as he kisses me on the lips with so much passion.

"Wow what was that for?" I ask, as I was catching my breath.

"Just because, I'll see you in a couple minutes," Sidney says as I watch him turn around and head for the door.

I smile as I grab my hairbrush as I place my hair up into my ponytail.
Placing the brush down I turn around and head out of my room and down the hall to the living room.

I see Kris holding Autumn as I see LC sitting on the couch.

"We are the only ones going today," LC says.

"Why?" I ask.

"The rest of the team needs to stay here to play the game. They will do fine without their captain and their best defense man," LC says as I smile.

"Where is Sidney at?" I ask.

"I'm in here babe,"Sidney says as I turn my head and see him in the kicthen eating something.

"What are you eating?" I ask as I turn and walk passed the dining room and turned into the kicthen area

"Kris made muffins this morning," LC says as I pick one of them up off the plate.

"what flavor?" i ask.

"Cinnimon Raisin," Kris says as I move the wrapper down and bit into one.

"Theses are good Kris," I say as I finish eating it.

"So what car are we gonna take?" Kris asks.

"Might as well take mine, Autumn's car seat is already in it. And when Mason gets in, he can sit beside her while I go to the back of the car in the speical seat," sidney says as I laugh a little bit.

I never knew Sidney had a special seat in his car.

"Well I have an extra row of seats in my car, we can just move Autumn's car seat into mine," Kris says.

"We can take yours, saves me on gas," Sidney says as we all laugh.

"Funny Crosby, your not saving on gas your helping me pay gas to Montreal,"
Sidneys smile went away.

"Give me your keys Tanger, I'll go put Autumn's car seat in your car," Sidney says as I watch LC grab Kris's keys  from his pocket and toss them to Sid.

"Thanks be back," Sidney says as I watch him go over to the door, open it and walk out.

"I should go pack Miss Autumn a bag," I say as I head to the back where her diaper bag is.
I grab a few of thoses penguins outfits that everyone got and walk back up front where LC is stil standing up with Kris and Autumn.

Autumn has her little head on Kris's shoulder, her eyes closed tight.

"She's cute," I say as I grab her bottles, formula and water and pack them into the bag.

"She is, hold still Kris," LC says as I look over as she takes her phone out and snaps a photo of the two together.

"Don't let that get out," I say as I zip up her diaper bag and place it on the table.
Just as I did, the door opens as Sid walks into the apartment.

"Ok, it took me some time but I figured out how to put in the car seat," Sid says as I smile at him.

"Can you take this Sid?" I asks as I point to the diaper bag.

"Sure babe, your caring Autumn down?" Sid asks.

"Yes," I say as I walk passed the table and over to Kris.
I gently grab Autumn as I place her on my shoulder.

"Ohh LC can you grab a blanket for me?" I ask as I see Kris heading for the door.

"Ok,"
She turns around and heads for my room.

"We are going down to the car, make sure you lock up," Sidney says.

"Yes dad," I say.

"Don't take that tone with me,"
He walks over to me and kisses me as he heads out the door.

"Will this work?" LC asks as she places a penguins cover on Autumn.

"Yep, this is the warmest cover she has," I say.
I watch as LC grabs her keys and heads over to the door.

She opens it as I slowly walk out of the house and start my jounrey down the stairs.
I take each step one at a time until I make it to the end of the steps.

I then head out in the cold air and walk around my car to Kris's car as I see Sidney coming out of the backseat which was closet to my car.

"Need help?" Sidney asks.

"Get the other door open," I say as I watch him go around to the other side as I walk over there.
He opens the door as I gently get into the car and place Autumn into the car seat.

I grab the arm straps and I clip them together then I place the little metal pieces into the bottom part to make Autumn seurce in the car.

"Got anything else in the apartment?" Sidney asks as I heard the front door close.

"No I got everything, LC and you both has keys to the apartment," I say as Sid smiles and closes the door gently as I grab for my seatbelt.

After grabbing it, I clip it into place as I watch Sidney get into the car as he closes the door.

"Everyone in?" Kris asks as I watch Sidney get his seatbelt on.

"Yep," Sidney says as I watch as Kris begins to back out of his parking place and turn the wheel to head for the front.
I watch as he places it in drive as he turns the wheel and begins to drive out of our parking lot.

I look down at autumn as her eyes are still closed and she is peacefully sleeping.

Looking up I see that Kris is on the main road to the high way.

"You drive fast Kris," I say.

"Nah, your just looking at her and time is flying," Kris says.

"Maybe, she is adorable when she sleeps though," I say.

"She is," sidney says as I look over to him and smile.
What would I do without him.

Just as it gets silent in the car, a cell phone begins to go off.

"Sidney hand me her baby bag," I say as I knew it was my phone ringing.
I watch as Sidney passes me my bag above Aututmn as I grab it and place it on my lap.

Unzipping it, I reach in and find it as I hit the green button.

"Hello," I say as I zip it back over and hand it back over Autumn to Sidney.

"Morning, you guys already on the road?" Vette asks.

"Yep bright and early, sorry you and Geno had to stay back in Pittsburgh," I say.

"It's no biggie, I know the PENS need my man since you have kidnapped your which is the captain,"
I laugh at her.

"Hey he wanted to go with Tanger and LC like I did so he came plus we got little Autumn with us,"

"Aww, well I can't blame him. How's Autumn doing?"

"Shes just asleep as Kris drives,"
I look over at autumn then my eyes move up to Sidney.
He gives me a little smirk on his face.

"Well be careful and I'll text you about the game,"

"Alright, why you up this early on a Saturday?"

"I just woke up and remembered that you are going to Montreal today, so I wanted to call before you left but that didnt work,"

"It's alright, we aren't even out of the Pittsburgh area yet,"

"So just left huh?"

"Yea but hey I'm gonna let you go, I'll call you in 9 sometimes hours letting you know I'm there,"

"Alright, be safe and tell Kris and whoever drives back to be safe,"

"I will do,"
I hang up the phone with her.

"Kris, Vette wanted me to tell you to be careful to Montreal," I say.

"I knew she would if she called you, sucks we are going to miss the game," Kris says as I hear a noise.
Turning my head I see little Autumn opening her eyes up.

"Good morning princess," I say as she begins to cry.

"Sidney hand me her bag please," I ask as I see him handing it to me.
I place it on my lap as I open it and pull out a bottle that i made as I take off the cap.

"Here you go sweetie," I say as I place the bottle in her mouth as she begins to drink it.
Her eyes look over to me then I seen her move them over to Sidney.

"Hey sweetie, is that bottle good?" Sidney asks as I smile.

"She's up," LC says as Autumn trys to move her head back to see LC as the bottle falls out of her mouth.

"Leave her alone while she eats babe," Kris says as I see LC turn around then Autumn moves her head back as I place the bottle back into her mouth.

 I watched as Autumn sucks down her whole bottle as I move the bottle from her mouth.

"Good girl Autumn," I say as I place the bottle back into the back as hear Autumn burping.

"Excuse you princess," I say as I smile at her.


I face to the front and enjoy the trip.
Watching all the things so by that I never saw before until we merged onto I-90.


"Over a quarter of the way there, does anyone have to use the bathroom?" Kris asks.

"I do," LC says.

"Me too plus I think Autumn needs a diaper change as well," I say.
I watch as Kris pulls off the road and onto a road to the rest stop.

He pulls and parks the car into a parking place.

"You girls go in first," Sidney says.
I unbuckle myself as I lean over and unbuckle little miss Autumn from her car seat as I picked her up into my arm as I get out of the car.
Grabbing my diaper bag, I close the door as I walk up to the sidewalk where LC is at.

"I'll go to the bathroom first as you change Autumn then I'll take her while you go," LC says.

"Smart plan," I say.

"I'm excited to meet Kris's little boy," LC says as we make out way into the building then to the women's bathroom.

"Is Kris excited?" I ask as we split ways as I go over to a baby changing table.

"Oh yea,"
I hear the door shut as I place Autumn onto the table and place the bag at the bottom of her feet.

Autumn begins to cry.

"Shh its ok baby girl," I say as I open the unzipped bag and pull out a newborn diaper and wipes.
I unbutton her bottom as I move it up.
I unfasten her diaper as I take it off.

"only pee missy," I say as I wipe her clean and place a new diaper back on her.
After that, I button her bottom half back up.

"There we go sweetie," I say as I zip the bag up and pick her up into my arms as a toilet flushes.

I turn around to see LC coming out.

"let me go wash my hands," LC says as I watch her running off.

"LC is a little crazy baby," I say as she smiles.
Guess she agrees with me.

"Ok, she's smiling?" LC asks as I hand her Autumn and place the siaper bag beside her.

"Yep cause she knows your a little crazy," I say, smiling as I head in.

I use the bathroom as I open the door and walk over to the other side as LC is standing there.

"I didn't leave," LC says.

"i know you didn't," I say as I place soap into my hands as I wash them.
Then I grab a paper towel to dry them off with.

"Come here pretty girl," I say as LC gently places her into my arms as she grabs the bag.

"I'll help you out even though you called my crazy," LC says as I smile as we walk out of the restroom then out the door.

"Hey I made Autumn smile with that," I say as I see the boys getting out of the car.

"You took forever," Kris says as he runs passes us as I laugh as Sidney was running right behindhim.

"Well we are girls!!" LC yells as they probably are already in the building.
I walk over to the back door as I see LC opens it for me.

"Thanks," I say as I hop into the car and place Autumn back into her car seat.
I buckle her in and just as I did she begins to cry.

"Aww sweetie hold on, LC bag please," I say as I sit in the seat.

"Here," She hands me the bag as she closes the door.

Unzipping it, I pull out a clean bottle, water and formula.
Can't make it in advance.

I place 8oz of water in the bottle then 4 scoops of formula.
As I do that, I place the nipple back in and shake it up.

"Here," I say as I place the bottle in her mouth as she crying stops.

"She must have been hungry," LC says.

"Oh yeah,"
Just as I say that I watch as the door beside me opens and Sidney gets into the car.

"See you'll are faster since your guys," LC says as I hear the car start up again.

"Well guess thats why we get you off faster,"
I laugh at Kris's comment as I watch him pull out and head back onto the freeway.

Just as he did I see LC punching him in his arm, which wasn't steering.

"Ouch why you do that for?" Kris asks.

"Your last comment," LC says.

"I'm sorry ok,"Kris says.
I smile, true love for them.

"So I have been thinking about something," Kris says as I look down at autumn as she is sucking down this bottle.

"About?" LC asks.

"About all of us moving into a house together, that apartment is getting small for all five soon to be six of us," Kris says.

"I like that idea, it's getting too small and I don't have to go back and forth between houses anymore," Sidney says.

"Girls?" Kris asks.

"I love that idea," LC says.

"I like that idea too, but where we going to find a big house like that?" I ask.

"Sewickley has houses like that and me and Sid will pay for it," Kris says.

"Guess we get to go house hunting," LC says
She is too excited about this more then I am.

"We will once we get back into town, I'm sure Nathalie and Mario can watch the kids," Sidney says.

"I'm sure they will be happy too," LC says in agreement.
I look over at Sidney as I seen Autumn's bottle is empty.

I pull it out of her mouth as she gives two burps this time.

"Wow," LC says as I laugh.

"Are you sure your ready to move into like this?" Sidney asks me in a lower voice.

"I'm sure,"
He reaches over and grabs my hand as out hands lay on Autumn.

For the rest of the trip to Montreal, we stopped another two times to change and feed Autumn.

"We are here," Kris says as I look out the window to see houses sides by side.
He turns off the car.

"Nervous?" LC asks.

"A little bit, I'm glad your here with me," Kris says as I watch them kiss.

"You guys coming or staying in here? I'm sure my mom will invite us in," Kris says.

"Go ahead and go see your son then come back out here to get us, its a family thing not for us," I say.

"You sure?" Kris asks.

"Yeah man," Sid says.
I watch as LC and Kris out of the car and head to the house.

I turn and face Sidney as my eyes look down to see Autumn sleeping.

"I love you babe," Sidney says.

"I love you too," I say as we both move to each other as we kiss.



Kris's POV

I sigh as I know on the door.

"It's ok to be nervous," LC says to me as I move my fingers over her hand.

"Kris, your here, come in," Mom says as I walk in with LC.

"Mom this is Lauren but she goes by LC. She is my girlfriend," I say.

"Nice to meet you Lauren. Mase come here sweetie," Mom says as all three of us walk into the living room as who stood there was a mini version of myself.

"Daddy!!!" The little boys yells as he runs to me as I pick him up into my arms.

I couldn't say nothing.

I hear camera shooting in the background.

"I love you Mase," I say as I hug him.

"I love you daddy,"
I place him back onto the ground.

"Go get your bag to go with daddy Mase," Mom says as the little boy runs off.

"How does he know I'm his dad?" I ask.

"Kate told him and when she passed I got him since her family is dead. He always knew you were his daddy Kristopher,"
I had tears escaping my eyes.

I felt LC's hand on my shoulder as I see Mason come bak down the stairs.

"Ready to go home?" I ask.

"Yes daddy, carry me?" he asks.
I lean over and pick him up into my arms as I see LC grabbing his only bag.

"Say bye to grandma," I say.

"Bye grandma, love you," Mason says as the three of us hand over to the door.

"I love you too, please be safe," mom says as we open the door and walk out.
Walking out Sidney, Aaylah and Autumn were out of the car.

"I'm driving back home after you drove 9 hours to get here," Sidney says.

"Alright thats fine, so were is Autumn sitting?" I ask.

"We moved her to the back seat, I hope you will sit next to her LC," Aaylah says.

"Oh yeah I will," LC says.

"Mason cane sit with you," Sidney says.
I smile, my life is perfect

Chapter 38 Part 2

Sidney turns and heads up the driveway to the Lemieux's house as he parks in the same spot as he always does.

"We are here," Sidney says as I unbuckle and open the door.

"I can see that, think Autumn is ok?" I ask.

I'm just still nervous about leaving her since I just got her today.

"Babe, LC will not let anything happen to her. I know my cousin and she will take care of her," Sidney says as I get out of the car.

"Your right, I guess I'm just nervous leaving her behind,"
I shut the door and walk to the back of the car where Sidney meets me at.

"It's alright babe, if LC needs any help she will call," Sidney says as I grab his hand as I smile.

We walk across the driveway and walk along the sidewalk that leads to the front porch steps. I then walk up the steps onto the front porch.

I walk over to the door as Sidney walks in front of me. He takes out his keys and unlocks the door.

"Ladies first," Sidney says as I walk in front of him as I walk down the three steps into the house.

"Come on in," Nathalie says as I stand there waiting on Sid.

"Go ahead babe, I'm right behind you,"
Taking a deep breath, I head down the left hallway that I knew I would be closer to the kicthen area.


I walk into the living room to see Mario and Nat on the loveseat as Troy, Trina and Taylor are on the couch.

"Come on in and have a seat. Dinner will be ready soon," Nat says.
I walk over to the recliner as I sit down on the chair.

I watch as Sidney walks over and sits on the floor in front of the recliner.

"You want to switch?" I ask.

"No I'm good babe," Sidney says.

"Sid you can sit over with us," Taylor says.

"I'm good Tay but thank you," Sidney says.

"So where is our other guest at?" Nat asks.

"At home with LC, I didn't want to leave her but LC said other ways," I say.

"Aww, well she might have been right, you do have school and hockey. Thats most of your life. I can babysit if you need me too," Nat says.

"Thanks Nat," I say.

"I can as well," Mario says.

"Thank you both," I say.

"What are you girls talking about?" Trina asks.
I turn to face Trina.

"I have a baby now, she is my second cousin turn to my daughter," I say.

"Aww, is that what was in Columbus?" Trina asks.

"Yes, she survivied a car accident that took her parents to heaven. She is a miracle," I say.

I watch as Troy sits up on the couch.

"Aaylah I need to say sorry for all the days I have been here. I don't hate you I just want whats best for my son. You seem to be that for him. He does his hockey and he has you. You help him stay focus. Sorry I just had to tell you that," Troy say as he lays back on the couch.

"Thank you Troy," I say as I look down at Sidney, as what he said was a surprise to both of us.

"So whats her name?" Trina asks.

" Name by her parents is Alivia Allison Addison but I'm changing it to Autumn Alivia Thomason. I wanted to keep her first name in her name," I say.

"Autumn thats a cute name," Nat says.

"Thank you," I say.

"Why did you decide to change her name?" Trina asks.

"Because I wanted her to get another start in life," I say.

"Well she got a great start," Trina says.

"I think so, she already has tons of aunts and uncles," I say.

"What do you mean?" Taylor asks.

"The boys are her uncles and my friends are her aunts, I'm going to bring her up with the best," I say.

"Does Sid count as a uncle too?" Taylor asks.

"No, he will have another name for him," I say.

"Daddy?" Nat asks.

"If he gets it, he gets it. But no I was thinking Siddy," I say.

"It's close to daddy," Nat says.
I just smile, I havent talked in detailed to Sidney about Autumn. I plan on too but I know he would want to be in her life

I watch as Nathalie gets up and walks into the kicthen to check on dinner as my pocket begins to vibrates.

I lift my bottom up as I reach in my pocket to grab the phone pulling it out.

I open it to see I have a text from LC.
I hit on her picture as her text comes up.

"Aaylah, I'm having trouble. I dont know anything about making formula. Kris has Autumn in his arms, rocking her. Help!!"

I hit reply as I begin to type a message.

"Give her 5 ounces of water with 2 and a half scoops of her formula. anything else?"
I hit send as I place the phone in my lap.

"You want to eat in here or the table?" Nat asks.

"Let's just eat in here, we haven't done it in awhile," Mario says.

"Alright well homemade pizza is ready," Nat says.
I watch as Sidney gets up off the floor.

"What do you want for a drink?" Sidney asks.

"A pop, whatever they have in there," I say.

"Alright,"
I watch as he walks away as I see Troy, Trina, and Taylor getting up to follow him just as my phone goes off again.

I pick it up and open it

"Thanks, Kris is feeding her. Hope thats ok. Most of everyone has left besides Ryan, Nicole, Jordan and Vette. How is Marios?"
I hit reply

"Everything is ok, your uncle said sorry to me for judging me while he is here and everyone knows I have Autumn now. Nat and Mario offered to babysit if you couldn't,"
I hit send as i close my phone up as I look up to see Sidney walking back in with two plates and a Pepsi.

"Here babe," Sidney says a he hands me a plate and the pop.

"Thanks, well I think your teammate is getting caught by Autumn," I say as Sidney takes a seat where he sat down before.

"Who? Better not be Whitney. He's not too good with kids," Sidney says as I knew he was kidding.

"It's not Whitney, it's Kris. He held her and is now feeding her," I say as I place my drink on the table as I take a bite out of the pizza.

"Wow, Tanger. I hope he doesn't get any ideas with LC," Sidney says.

"Sidney she knows better. Nat this is pretty good pizza," I say as I see her and Mario walk back into the living room.

"Thank you, its a ranch style that I wanted to try. So do you have a picture of her?" Nat asks as I finish eating my piece of pizza.

My phone then went off as I open it.

"I am shocked he did that. I'm glad he did though, shows that he cares about Sidney and you. Attached is a pic with Kris holding Autumn,"
It is so cute.

I hit reply

"So cute, thank you guys for doing this for me. Tell Kris he is a natural and don't go thinking about ideas,"
I hit sent

"Nat, LC just took this picture with Kris holding her," I say as I hand her my phone.

"Aww she's adorable and already in Penguins clothes. A true member of the Pens," Nat says as she hands the phone to Mario.

"I remember when Alexa was this small, shes cute Aaylah," Mario says as he passes the phone to Nat then she hands it back to me.

"Thank you, she is an angel," I say as I close my phone as I see Troy, Trina, and Taylor walk back in with their plates.

"Nat this is good," Trina says.

"Thank you Trina. So what movie do you want to watch?" Nat says.

"Doesn't matter with us," Troy says.

"Sidney?" Nat asks.

"Play whatever movie you want too unless you have one," Sidney says as I watch him put his head back to look at me

"Nope I don't," I say as I get up and walk into the kicthen.
Walking into the kicthen, I place the plate in the trash as I walk back out to the living room.

I pass the couch as I see Sidney in the recliner.

"You took my spot," I say standing there.

"No I didn't, you can seat on my lap," Sidney says as he smiles.
I shake my head.

"Sid let the woman sit down," Troy says as I walk over and sit on his lap.

"It's ok Troy," I say as Sidney wraps his arms around me.

"We are watching Forrest Gump," Nat says as I kinda chuckle.
I haven't watched this movie in forever.

I get closer to Sidney as he plants a kiss on my cheek as I seen the lights go off.

"Everybody can see?" Mario asks.

"Yes," I say.
I just stare at the TV as my phone goes off.

I grab it from off the table and open it.

"Your more then welcome and we wouldn't do it with her and some of the guys here. when you guys be home?"
I hit reply

"After Forrest Gump more then likely. Will text you when we leave,"
I hit send as I place my phone back on the table as I pay attention to the movie.

When the movie gets to the part where Forrest is running from coast to coast, I start yawning and closed my eyes.


"Aaylah wake up babe,"
I open my eyes as I still lay on Sidney.

"Did I fall asleep?" I ask.

"Yeah, everyone has gone to bed is when I decided to wake you up," Sidney says as I get off of his lap and grab my cell phone off the table.

"LC didn't text you anymore," Sidney says as I turn around to see him get up and head into the kicthen.

I open my phone as I click on LC's name then started a message.

"We will be back to the apartment soon. I slept through the movie,"
I hit send as Sidney walks back over to me.

"Ready to head back?" Sidney asks.

"Yes I am," I say as Sidney grabs my hand as we walk out of the living room, passed the pool room and then up the three stairs to the front door.

Sidney opens the front door.

"Ladies first," Sidney says.

"Thank you," I say as I walk passed him out the door.
I stop and turn around and watched him coming out.

He grabs my hand as we walk down the steps off the porch and walk down the sidewalk to the driveway.

"So you glad that we came tonight?" Sidney asks as we turn and look at each other.

"Yes I am, glad Mario and Nat know about Autumn as well as your family," I say as he leans over and kisses me.

"I'm glad, let's head home," Sidney says.
We brake from holding hands as I walk over to the passinger side of his car as I open the door.

I hop into the Range Rover as I close the door.
Taking the seatbelt, I place it over my and buckle it in.

"You ready?" Sidney asks as he uses his key to start up the car.

"Yes," I say as Sidney places his car in reverse as he backs out the parking place.
He then shifts it back into drive as he heads down the driveway an stops.

"Are we clear that way?" Sidney asks.
I look to my right and didn't see anything.

"We are clear," I say a Sidney turns to the left and heads back to my apartment.

"Sid what is Autumn going to be calling you once she can speak?" I ask.

"Anything we wants," Sid says.

"What if she calls you daddy?" I ask.

"Then she calls me that, I hope to be married when she says that to me," Sidney says.

"Married? So in another 2 years you want to be married?" I ask.

"I do unless you don't want to be," Sidney says.

"Let's wait and see. Never know could be engaged on our year anniversity," I say.
Sidney grabs my hand as we enjoy our trip back to the apartment.

Once we reach the enterence, Sidney let's go of my hand so he can take two left turns into the apartment complex.

He turns off the road into the enternce way then turns again to go into my apartment complex.

We pass all the apartmens unles we came up to my building.

"Looks like Jordan is here still," Sidney says as he turns into a parking place.
I watch as he turns off his car.

I unbuckle as I open my door and hop out.
Then I shut the door and walk to the front of the car to wait on Sidney.

"I wonder why he is still here, it's passed midnight," Sidney says as we walk up to the sidewalk.

"We will find out once we get into the apartment," I say as I head up the stairs first.

Once up the stairs, I walk to my door as I watch Sidney using his key to unlock the door.

He opens it as I see Kris on the phone and LC right besides him.

I walk in as I walk over to LC.

"Whats going on?" I ask.

"Kris is talking on the phone to family in Montreal, I think? He is talking in french," LC says.

I turn and watched Sidney standing there, hearing what Kris is saying.

"He is talking to his mom it sounds like," Sidney says.

We just stand there as he hangs up his phone.

"Whats going on? Everyone ok?" LC asks.

"I'm a father and I never knew it," Kris says.

"A father?" Jordan asks as I see him get up.
Guess Nicole left with Ryan.

"Yea to a 2 year old son named Mason," Kris says.

"Do you have to go get him?" LC asks.

"Tomorrow I have too," Kris says.

"I'm going with you, not going to let you do this on your own," LC says as I watch her hug him then kiss him.

"If your going, I'm going," I say.

"Guess I'm in too, I think Flower, Vero will go as well," Sidney says.

"Guess we got a road trip," LC says.

"Yep," I say as I pull my phone out as Kris did as well.

By the end of the hour, we got a group of people going, Whitney, Nicole, Jordan, Marc, Vero,   and Max Everyone wanted to go to support Kris which he needed.

I yawn as I place my head on the table.

"Babe, let's go to bed. We got to get up at 6 to head for Montreal," Sidney says.

"Wait what about Autumn?" I ask as I get up and go to the back.

Walking into my room, she is sound asleep.

"She is coming with us, I never called Mario and Nat about watching her." Sidney whispers.

"Guess it's me you and her together. I don't know if LC or Kris wants to come with us," I say.

"We are going with Marc and Vero tomorrow," Sidney says.

"Oh alright," I say as I yawn again as I being to strip right in front of Sidney.

"Forget getting clothes on, I'm going to bed," I say as I climb into bed as I see Sidney stripping and getting into the bed behind me.

"Thank you for today," I say as he wraps his arms around me.

"Babe, no need to thank me," Sidney says as I turn my head as he gives me a kiss on my lips.

"I love you Sidney,"

"I love you too Aaylah,"
I place my head back down on the pillow and close my eyes to sleep.

I am sorry that I have not written this story in awhile. So much is going on right now in my life. I'm in school, has my young son and everything else that has been happening. I promise to have the next chapter up as soon as I can :-)
