Chapter 37 Part 3

3 Hours pass and I'm still skating around as I felt someone grabbing my hands.

Looking over to my side, I see Sidney skating beside me.

"Hey," I say as we turn into the turn.

"Wanna go ahead and go set up?," Sid asks.

"Sure," I say as we stop by the exit and get off the ice.

"where you cats going too?" Max asks as me and Sid clear the ice off our blades.

"We are going to go head and set up," sid says as me and him walk over to the first bench cause that is where our bags where.

I pull my bag from underneath the seat as I unzip it and pulling out my shoes as well as my blade guards.

Leaning over, I unlace my skates as I place my guards over the blade.
then I take off my skates as I place one at a time into my bag.

Zipping it up, I place my shoes back on.

"Do you want to leave the bags back underneath the bench?" I ask.

"Sure," sid says as me and him place our bags back under.
I then get up and head into the cafe area.

I walk over to the bags that were on the table.

"How about you set out the plates and ill place out of the cups and place the pop into the cups," Sid says.

"Ok, oh I can set out napkins too," I say.

"Good idea," sidney says.
I walk over to the bag that had the plates and napkins in, so take them out and place them on the table.

After I place them onto the table, I walk back over to the bag to place the extras into it.

Looking up, I see Sidney having a hard time, so I walk over there.

"Have a hard time?" I ask.

"I'm just a little slow," Sidney says.

"Want me to help you?"

"I got it babe, oh can you get the pizza,"

"Where is it at?"
Just as I ask, a knock came at the heavy metal door.

"You paying?"
Sidney places down the bottle of pop that he had in his hands, as he removes a 50 out of his wallet.

"Use this,"
I nod as I walk over to the door to open it.

"Hello," I say.

"Is this for the Crosby party?" He asks.

"Yes,"
He walks back to his car as I watch as he and another guy come up with six pizzas.

"Let me go get my boyfriend to help, hold on,"
I walk back into the cafe area.

"Come and help me Sid, your ordered six pizzas," I say
Sidney sets down the pop as me and him walk back over to the door.

"Here is a 50, how much is the pizzas?" I ask as the other guy hands Sid his 3 pizzas.

"45.30," he says.

"Keep the change then," I say.

"Thank you, have a good party,"
He hands me the pizzas as I close and lock the door.

I walk back into the cafe as I walk over to the concession stand to place the pizzas on there side by side.

"What kinds did you get?" I ask as I open the pizza boxes.

"Two surpremes, two chesse, and two pepperoni," Sidney says.

"Ah ok,"

"Should we call everyone in since we are done?" Sidney asks.

"Yeah, as long as your done with the pop," I say as I contuine to open boxes as I felt and seen Sidney hand.

"No Sidney, you gotta wait," I say as I lighty slaps his hand.

I turn around as I watch Sidney slowly goes over to the corner with his knees to his chest.

"I dont love you anymore," sidney says.

I walk over to him as I kneel beside him.

"Your a funny boy," I say.

"I'm not a boy, I'm a hockey player,"
Then he gets up and lays me on the ground as he begins to tickle me.

"Sidney stop!!"

"Not until you say Sidney is the best hockey player in the world,"
He contuines to tickle me.

"Ok, Sidney is the best hockey player in the world, now get off of me,"
Sidney smiles as he gets up.

He places his hand to me.
I grab it as he picks me up from off of the floor.

"What in the world is going on you two?" Vette asks.

"He was tickling me since he couldnt have pizza," I say as Geno comes walking up.

"Is lunch ready?" Vette asks.

"Yes, now Sidney go get everyone," I say.

"Ok," Sidney says as he goes running out of the cafe.

"What has gotten into him?" Vette asks as she walks and takes a seat at the middle of the table, along with Geno.

I turn around as I seen most of them coming this way.

"Just sit down everyone," I say as I just stand there, watching.

Once everyone is sitting, I sit down as I let Sidney stand up.
He more planned this then myself.

"Thank you everyone for being here for this important day. Today is my cousins Lauren's 19th birthday. this is her first party since coming home from Sweden for school. so this party is for you cous. Now thats out of the way, we have pop on the other table and pizza is on the countier, enjoy,"

After that everyone claps as Sidney and LC hug.

I smile as I watch Sidney coming over to me.
He takes a seat next to me as everyone gets up.

"You not going to eat?" I ask.

"I'm waiting for the crowd to die down.Thank you for being here,"

"I wouldnt miss it for the world, all to do it her dinner and afterparty, which we cant go to," I say.

"We gotta be in Columbus at what time?," Sidney asks.

"By 10 in the morning," I say.

"Ok, so are we driving there?" Sidney asks.

"Yes, so we gotta be in bed early," I say.

"What you guys talking about?" LC asks as she took a seat next to us.

"Going to Columbus tomorrow," I say.

"Oh," LC says.

Hopefully tomorrow wil be a good day.

"You guys better get up there, there is very little left," Tyler says as me and Sid grab our plates and walk up to the countier.

I grab the last surpreme piece and a piece of chesse pizza as I walk to the other table to grab a cup filled of pepsi as I go to sit back down.

I place my plate and cup on the table as I sat down next to LC.

"Thank you for the party Aaylah," LC says.
It really wasnt my idea but I'm not doing any arguing today.

"Your welcome," I say as Sidney sat down beside me.

I pick up a piece of pizza as I took a bite of it.

"Babe can I trade you a chesse for your surpreme?" Sidney asks.
I shallowed

"No thats my piece," I say as I begin to eat again.

"Ok babe," Sidney says.

"Hey Sid are we having cake?" Jordan asks.

"Nope, no cake," Sidney says.

"thats no fun," Tyler says.

"Sorry guys," Sidney says as one by one got done, they would head back onto the ice.

"guess everyone was charging up," I say as I smile as Vette heads over to me.

"Do you want some help? Me and Nicole are tired of skating around.

"If you guys wanna help, you can," I say as I head over to the countier as I see Sidney taking trash off of the table.

Taking the boxes off of the countier, I place them into a big bag as I walk over to the pop stand, I threw out all the empty ones.

5 minutes later, Vette just used the last wipe to clean the tables off.

"Thanks girls," sidney says.

"Your welcome Sid, hey are you two going to get your skates on again?" Vette asks.

"Not sure, aaylah what is the time?" Sidney asks me
I grabs my cell from my pocket as I hit a button

"It's 1:25," I say

"We need to be out of here around 2," Sidney says
When he has a plan, he sticks to it.

"Ok Sid, lets get our skates on and skate some more," I say as I give him my puppy face.

"Ok," Sidney says as he smiles at me.
I smile as me and sidney follow Vette into the rink area.

Sitting down in the same spot before, I grab my bag and drag it.
I take off my shoes and I unzip the bag and pull out my skates.

Sitting the skates to the side, I place my shoe in there as I push the bag back underneath the bench.

taking off the skate protecter, I place my skates and tie each one of them.

"See you out there," I say as I walk over to the entence as I hop onto the ice with everyone else.

"Wanna race us Aaylah?" Tyler asks.

"Again? Sure why not," I say as I skate over by the boys.

"Your up Aaylah against Kris," Tyler says as I go next to Kris.

"Goo luck Tanger," I say as I watch Sidney get out onto the ice.

"Move to the side Sid," Jordan yells as he does.

"On 3 go," LC says as she gets in the middle
As soon as she yells three, I skate my little heart off to the end and then back.

"Woohoo Aaylah,"
I skate around to cool me off.

"Who is up next against Aaylah since she won?" Jordan asks as I take my place.

"I will," sidney says as he steps up to the plate with me.

"I will be happy to kick your butt again Crosby," I say as I get in position.

"No thanks Thomason," Sidney says as again LC stood in the middle and counts off.
As she gets to three, I take off as I get to the end, I turn and go back.

"Woohoo Aaylah another win," Max says as I smile
I turn back to Sidney as he skates next to me.

"Lets have a 4 person race, me, Kris, Aaylah and Sid," Lc suggests.

"I'm in," Sidney says.
I just raced two races.

"I'm out, I need to rest," I say.

"Ok how about Sidney is on my team and Kris is on your?" LC asks.

"Sure atleast I got semi strong legs with me," I say.

Sid and LC start on the left side of the rink and me and Kris on the right.

"Marc count us off," Sid says as he skates to the middle.
Once he said three, I was off.

I skate my hardest as I hit the the boards.

"Aaylah was first followed by Sid," Marc says.

"Thats means they have to race, one more time," LC says.
I make my way up to the starting point as Sidney joins me.
I'm not letting him win.

Once three came, I skated to one side then to the other.

"Aaylah is the winner," Tyler says as I smile.
Sid came over to me as he kisses me on the cheek.

"It's 2, I better be leaving," Val says.

"Oh we better be going too," sidney says.

"Where are you party poopers going?" Max asks.

"Away from you," Sidney says as me and him skate off the ice, right behind Val.
I walk over to the bench, as I sat down.

Grabbing my bag, I pull it out and then pulled my shoes out.
Then I unlace my skates and take them off.

I grab the skate guards as I place them on my skates before I place them into the bag.

Zipping up my bag, I pick it up and place it onto my shoulders.

"Bye guys, thank you for the party," LC says.

"Your welcome LC, see you later," Sidney says as we head into the cafe.

"Do we need anything in here?" I ask as I watch Sidney pick up the air pump.

"Yes and now we can go," Sidney says as he walks over to the door and opens it.

"Ladies first," Sid says as I watlk out of the door.

"Thank you,"
I wait for him as we make our way to his Range Rover.

Then we walk over to his Range rover as he takes out his keys to unlock the trunk.
I watch him do that as he closes the trunk closed.

"It's unlock babe," Sidney says as I open the door and get into the car.
Once, I get into the car, I close the door as I grab for my seatbelt.

Placing it on, Sid hops into the car and begins up the car.

"You ready?" Sid asks as I take my cell phone out of my pocket.

"Yes but get your seatbelt on,"
Sid sighs as he grabs and places on his seatbelt.
Then I watch as he places his car in drive.
He turns and heads out of the parking lot onto the road.

"That was fun but exhausting," I say as I lay my head down on the back.

"It will get better with the next set up," Sid says as he grabs my hand into his.

"Why's that?"

"Cause we are not decorcating the whole place. My mom and aunt victoria is helping out as well,"

"Oh I didnt know that,"

"Its ok, do you want me to drop you off so you can get some rest?"

"I'm fine,"

"Good,"

For the next 10 minutes, we held each others hands.

Once we arrived to Mario's house, Sid stops as he presses the code in for the gate to open up.

As it opens up, Sid drive on through and turns to park in his spot.

"We are here," Sid says as he smiles at me.

"Thank you," I say as I open the door and unbuckle up.
Then I hop out of the car and close the door.

Walking to the other side, Sid is waiting on me so we both can go up to the house together.

Grabbing my hand, we head up the sidewalk and onto the front porch.

"Hey you two," Nathalie says.

"Hey Nat, how are you today?" Sid asks as all three of us head inside.

"Good so far, how was the skate party?" Nathalie asks.

"It went good, I believe it's still going on. I gotta go get mom and Aunt Victoria," Sid says as he walks down the hall and turns to his wing.

"So was the party good?" Nathalie asks as we walk to the tv room area.

"It went well, now its time to set up for the dinner," I say.

"Sounds fun, i know the kids are excited to go out to dinner. They haven't been in awhile," Nathalie says.

"Ah, I'm excited too. Where is Mario at?"

"In the hot tub, relaxing while he can. Troy is also,"

"Gotacha, do they get along?"

"Most of the time,"

"Thats good," I say as I see Trina walking over to us.

"Hey Trina," Nathalie says.

"Hey Nat, Aaylah. Is Troy still in the hot tub?" Trina asks.

"Yes he is," Nathalie says.

"Thank you,"
She walks into the pool room.

After that, I turn around to see Victoria and Taylor.

"Hey Taylor," I say as I walk over to her.

"Hey Aaylah, you look tired," Taylor says.

"Nah I'm good, so are you coming with us?" I ask.

"I have to ask Sidney,"

"I'm sure he'll say yes, go ask him,"
I watch as Taylor walks over to Sid.

"Sidney can I go with you?" I hear Taylor ask him.

"Yeah you can come along Tay," Sid says.

"Thanks Sid," Taylor says.

"No problem,"
As he says that Trina comes back out of the pool room.

"Are we ready to go?" Trina asks.

"Oh I gotta go grab the bags, I'll meet you all outside," victoria says as she rushes back into the wing.

"Mom Tay is coming with us," sid says.

"Thats fine, why dont you three go ahead and go get into the car. I'll wait for Aunt Victoria," Trina says.

"Alright," Sid says as he aheads out first with me and Taylor in toe.

Once we reaches outside, we all walk down the path and head to the car.

"Sidney can I sit up front?" Taylor says.
Sid turns and looks back at me.

"On the way back you can, ok?" Sid says.

"Ok, are you going to sit in the back with me Aaylah," Taylor asks me as we arrive to the car.

"I'm going to sit up front with Sid," I say.

"Ok,"
I knew Taylor wasnt too sad that I was sitting up front with Sid.

"Who are you going to sit beside?" Sid asks as open the door to the front passinger side seat.

"Behind Aaylah," Taylor says as I watch Taylor open her door as she gets in and closes the door.

"Ok," Sid says as I get into the car and close the door.
I turn around.

"Are you mad at me?" I ask.

"I'm not mad at you Aaylah cause I get to sit up front on the way home," Taylor says as she smiles at me.

"Your right," I say as I turn around and put my seatbelt on.

A few seconds later, the trunk opens up as the back door opens up.

"You buckled Tay?" Trina asks as she climbs into the car.

"Yes mom," Taylor says as I watch Trina buckle up.

"How was the party this morning aaylah?" Trina asks.

"It went well, I hope dinner goes better then lunch," I say.

"It will be better, so how have you been?" Trina asks.

"Alright, a few days ago,I lost my cousin and her husband,"

"Oh I'm so sorry to hear about that," trina asks as Sid and Victoria hops into the car.

"It's alright, I'm going to Columbus for her will reading tomorrow," I say as Sid buckles up.

"Whats going on?" Victoria asks.

"My cousin and her husband died a few days ago in a car accident. I'm going to Columbus tomorrow for her will reading," I say.

"I'm sorry to hear about that," Victoria says as Sid places the car in reverse then in drive.

"It's ok, Sid will be going with me tomorrow for it," I say as I watch Sid turns left down the street.

"He'll be good support for you," Trina says as I turn and watch Sidney.

"He will be," I say as I reach out my hand to grab his hand.

"Your gonna need me too," Sid says as he heads for the downtown area.

"So we are going to the cheesecake factory, right Sid?" Victoria asks.

"Yep, that is where we are headed to. the one in downtown," Sid says.

"Ok, the one on the south side I think?" Victoria asks.

"Yes it is," sid says.

"Good," victoria says.

"Hey sid, can you turn on the radio?" Taylor asks.

"Sure," Sid says as he moves my hand to the side as he turns on the radio to B94

"Is this ok Tay?" sid asks.

"Yes," Taylor says as Sidney picks my hand back out and holds it closer to him then me.

29 minutes later of drive, Sid pulls up into a parking place outside of the Cheesecake Factory.

"We are here," Sid says as he turns off his car.

"I'm going to check in, be back," Victoria says as she opens the door and hops out of the car.

I unbuckle as I open my door up.
Then I hop out of the car as I close the door right behind me.

I watch as Taylor hops down out of the car as Trina follows behind her.

"So we need to get the things," Trina says as she closes her door.
I follow behind her and Taylor as we walk to the back of the car.

Sid hits a button as the door flys open.

"I hope this one doesnt take forever to set up," I say as Trina, Taylor and Sid started grabbing things.

"Can you close the door babe?" Sid asks.

"Sure," I say
I grab the handle as I push the trunk closed.

Sid is standing there as his mom and Taylor walked in.

"Why didnt you go in?" I ask as we begin walking to the door.

"I wasnt going to leave you out here," Sid says as we got to the door.
I go ahead and open the door for him.

"I should be the opening the door for you," Sid says as he walks in.

"your hands are full," I say as I follow him inside.

When we got in there, Victoria was standing right there.

"Come with me," Victoria says as we follow her straight into the back, then turned.
We are in a corner part of the factory.

"Just set it down anywhere Sid," Victoria says as Sid places the bag down on the table.

"So how are setting this up Vicky?" Trina asks.

"you'll see. I just need help from you all. Let's get started," Victoria says.

30 minutes later, the whole corner was covered in pink banners, pink cups,napkins everything pink. In the middle of the big table was a pink and purple basket of flowers. It was a cute set up.

"You should do this for me on my birthday Sid," I whisper into his ear as he was standing beside me.

"You want pink?" sid asks.

"I want purple and yellow for mine," I say.

"Your got it babe,"
He kisses me on my cheek.

"So are we all ready to go?" Trina asks.

"What time is it?" Victoria asks.

I take out my cell as I look at it

"Its five minutes to three," I say as I place my phone back into my pocket.

"We better get back to the house and get ready," victoria says.

Trina heads out in front of us as we follow her out of the resturant.

"I get to sit up front," Taylor says as she goes running for the car.

"No running Taylor," Trina says as we all walk to the car.

"Who is sitting where?" Trina asks.

"You want to drive back babe?" sidney asks.
I look over to him.

"Are you sure?" I ask.

"Yeah, I'm sure Taylor would enjoy it," Sid says as he kisses me.

"Ok," I say as Sid hands me his keys to his Range Rover.
I use his keys to unlock the car doors.

I open the door and get into the car.
Closing the door, I place the keys in and began the car up.

Turning around I see sidney is sitting behind me.
smiling, I grab my seatbelt and place it over my chest to clip it in.

I turn to my side to see Taylor smiling.

"Everyone buckled up?" I ask as I ajust the mirror.

"Yes," Trina says.

Grabbing the handle, I shift it into reverse as I back out of the parking place.

"Taylor can you be my lookout on my right side?" I ask as I place the car in drive heading to the road.

"Are we clear over there?" I ask.

"Yes," Taylor says as I turn left onto the road, heading for Sewickley.

"That setup took a little more time then the lunch party," Sid says.

"Well its for your cousin, she came back from Sweden not to long ago," Trina says.

"Hey Aaylah," Taylor says.

"what is it?" I ask, keeping my eyes on the road.

"I would love to have you ask my sister," Taylor says.

"I can always be your sister, if you need me, ok?" I ask.

"Ok sister," Taylor say
I can see her smile in the background

I guess I'm already part of the Crosby family without even marrying Sid.

25 minutes later, I turn up into the driveway as I turn the wheel and park normally where Sid would park at.

"Dont shut the car off babe," Sid says as I look up to see the two back doors open.
I turn to Taylor.

"I'll see you tonight, ok?" I ask.

"Ok, bye Aaylah," Taylor says as I watch her open the door, get out and close the door.

I turn to watch all of them head up the sidewalk.

"See you later Aaylah," victoria says.

"See you later," I say as I watch them go into the house.
Looking in front of me, I seen Sid was a little low on gas, so I turn the car off to save gas.

I turn to see Sid coming out and running over to the car.

"Do you wanna drive?" sid asks.

"We're are we going?" I ask.

"I'm going to take you home and I'll chill over there for and hour or so. then I'll come back here and change, then come back over to get you," Sid says.

"Ok then I'll drive," I say as I begin up the car.

"I knew you would," Sid says as I watch him go in front of the car and open the door to get in.

Once he was in and buckled, I back out of the parking place.
Placing the car in drive, I take off down the driveway.

"anything coming sid?" I ask as I stop.

"Your clear," Sid says as I turn left down the road to head for my apartment.
