Will it be you?- Chapter 6

I turn to see that it was 6:30 and still Sidney had not called.
As I shut off the TV, my cell begins to ring.

Getting up I walk to the table and grab it.
"Hello," I say.

"Hey Aalyah, it's Sid. I'm on my way. What apartment number are you?"Sidney asks.

"1287, about how far are you out?"

"30 minutes at the most,"

"Ok, well how should I dress?"

"Causal,"

"Ok, see you when you get here,"

"Ok bye,"
I flip my phone down as I head into my room.
All I did was redo my hair.

As I finish I head back upfront to get on my computer.
Logging in I see my mom on the computer, so I say hi to her.

Pittbabe88- Hey mom
Maggie88- Hey baby. how are you doing?
Pittbabe88- I'm doing fine. School is going great. Vette took me to the Penguins game last night.
Maggie88- Aww, was it fun to go?
Pittbabe88- Yeah but I miss Mario playing
M88- Aww my poor baby.
P88- Yeah but I got to actually meet Mario too :)
M88- Awesome sweetie. Anyone else?
P88- All the current players from the Pens and Rick Nash :)
M88- Nash?
P88- Mom you know I like him. It's the devils fault.
M88- I know, so what are you doing tonight?
P88- I'm actually going on a date with someone I met at the rink on Sunday
M88- Good, your moving on from Ryan. Well Jack just got home. I'll call you soon.
P88- Bye mom. Love ya
M88- Love you too sweetie.

I rarely talk to my mom cause we both are busy enough, so it was good to talk to her.

24 more minutes on the computer flew bye as an knock came at my door.


"I'm coming," I say as I get up from my computer and open the door.

Sidney was standing there in blue jeans, a blue shirt, black zipper sweater, and yellow crocs.

"Hey Sidney, how was your appearence?" I ask.

"Good, you ready to go?"Sidney asks.

"Yeah, just let me get my cell and keys,"

I walk in and grab both from off the table as I head outside, while shutting the door.
"So where are you taking me too?"

"It's a chinese place in downtown, do you like chinese?"

"Yeah its my favorite,"

"Ok,"

I walk to the passinger side of his car, Sidney came up and open it for me.
"thank you,"

I hope into the car as he closes the and walks to the driver side.
Grabbing the seatbelt, I buckle up as sidney gets into the car to start it up.

"Ready?"He asks.

"Yeah,"I say.

I watch as he backs out and heads out the lot, heading to Pittsburgh.

"How was school today?"Sid asks.

"It was fun. i got to work with the children today. We work with children 3 times a week,"

"So you want to be a teacher?"

"Yeah, I love children,"
I smile.

"I love children too. We as in the Penguins got to Children's hosptial and we visit with the children. we try to get the kids not to be worried but be kids. Let them have fun. I love doing that,"

"Aww, I bet they are happy,"

"Yeah, alot of them are. So why did you wanna get into teaching?"

"I was babysitting when I was younger around 13 cause of my mom but as I was around kids more, thats what I wanted to be. But I also wanted to be a hockey player too, which didn't happen,"

"It still could happen,"

"Na, I'm too old,"

"Your not old Aalyah. Your younger then me for crying out loud. You can atleast make it into a juniors team and maybe the whl or even the nhl,"

"Yeah your right but I gonna finish up 2 more years of college before that will happen,"

"You can pratice, like I do,"

"I do that,"

"Well you need to do it every day you can,"

"Yeah, so whens your next game?"

"On thrusday, today was our so called day off. Tomorrow we have pratice from 12 to about 5 then about 10 we are flying to LA for our next game, so a busy day tomorrow. Whats your day going to be like tomorrow?"

"I'm outta school tomorrow, so I might pratice from 10 to around 1 or so then hang out with Vette until her date with geno,"

"I forgot about that date tomorrow,"

I smile.
"So you like Pittsburgh at night?"

"It's nice to be in the city at night,"

"Want to listen to the radio or talk some more?"

"Which ever is fine with me but no metal rock or jazz,"

"Ok, country ok?"

"Yeah,"

I watch as Sidney presses a button as I began hearing Tim McGraw singing.
"You like Tim?"I ask.

"Yeah, I went to see him in Minnasota when I lived out there for school. I was about 15 and he was my first consert,"Sidney says.

"Awesome, my first consert was Nsync. I was lame to go because Vette dragged me there and I didn't even like them,"
Sidney just smiles.

"She was the leader, and now she isn't,"

"She shouldn't be. Is she bossy?"

"She can be but she's not,"

"ok,"

"So where do you live at.I know it's 5 minutes away from me,"

"I live in Sewickley with Mario,"

"Lemieux?"

"Yeah, he's a great guy to let me stay with me,"

"I bet. I'm so jelous of you sidney,"

He smiles and says"You shouldn't be,"

"But I am. Your living with Mario Lemieux,"

"He's just a guy,"

"Not to me he isn't,"

He begins to laugh as I did too.

A few minutes later, he pulls into a parking lot beside a building.

"We're here. Let me go around to your door,"Sidney says as he gets out of the car.
I watch him cross the front of his car to my door.
He smiles as he opens it up.

"thank you Sidney,"I say getting out of the car.

"Your welcome, shall we head on up?
He hald out his arm to me.

"yes,"
I grab his arm with my left hand and arm as we head out of the parking garage.

Looking up I see the stars.
"what a peaceful night," I say.

"It is. So after dinner would you like to head out to the park?"

"Yeah sounds nice,"

"Ok,ladies first,"

He opens the door as I let go off his arm and into the building saying"thank you"
when I walked in, it looks like I stepped into chinatown.

"It's nice in here,"

"Yeah,"

"Hello, 2?"the waiter asks.

"Yes and possible in the back,"Sidney says.

"Ok, follow me," he says as he grabs menus.

"go ahead,"Sidney says as I walk ahead of him and follow the waiter to a back corner.

"this ok?"he asks.

"Yes thank you,"Sidney says as he pulls out a chair.

"For you,"Sidney says.

"thank you Sid,"I say as I sat down.
We ordered our food.

"Thank you," I say handing him my menu as he walks off.

"So do you live by yourself?"Sid asks.

"I do and I love it. I was excited to move about 45 minutes away from my mom and step-dad,"

"Where do they live at?"

"they live in North Versailles. Thats actually where i grow up at,"

"Aww, so where you actually born in Pittsburgh?"

"Yep,"

"Thats cool,"

"Yeah i like it. Pittsburgh is awesome,"

"Yeah it is,"

"So tell me about the town you grew up in?"

"It was just a little town, northeast of the captial, which is Halifax. It had an ice rink that I visit every summer when I got there when the season is over,"

"Nice, was it nice to live there?"

"Yeah but it was snowy in the winter,"
I smile.

"Yeah it is here too, so you visit there in the summer?'

"Yep, I have a house about 20 minutes away from my parents home. It's nice. My house is right on the lake. It's very peaceful,"

"I bet. I always wanted a house in my hometown but I need a good job before I can move down here,"

"You'll do it,"

"Here is your dinner,"A waiter says as he hands us our plates.

"Thank you,"Sidney says.

"Your welcome. Enjoy,"

I pick up my fork and began to eat.

15 minutes later...

I set my fork down.

"That was the best chinese food that I ever had,"I say.

"It is very good, waiter can I have my check please?"Sidney asks.

He nods his head as he gives up the check and 2 fortnate cookies.
"Have a great night,"

"Thank you,"I say as I grab a cookie and open it.

taking out my fortinate it reads" Somone new will come into your life and stay there,"
I didn't understand that at all.
I began to eat the cookies.

"What did yours say?"sid asks.

"I'm not telling you. I never tell me. It's a supersation to me,"I say.

"Oh ok, you ready to head to the park?"

"Yeah,"

Sidney gets up as I get up in front of him as we head out of the door back to the parking garage.
