Will it be you?- Chapter 7

I watch as Sidney heads back onto the street.
"So was the food good there?"Sidney asks.

"It was some of the best. Where did you find it at?"I ask.

"I was exploring the city with Army and we found it by walking around. We ate there and we both like it. So I figure I'll take you there,"

"Ah ok. i loved it. You need to turn around to get to the otherside,"

Sid got into the U turn lane as he looks my way as he turn onto the road, then turns into the park's parking lot.

"Sidney,"I say
He was laughing as I hit his shoulder.

He scared the crap outta me by doing that
"I'm driving home to my apartment," I say.

Sid was laughing as he parks the car.
I open my door as my phone began to vibrate.

"Dang it," I say as i close the door.

"What?"sid asks as I head to the front of his car as I reterive my phone.

Opening it up reads" Hows the date going? Yvette told me about it was with Sidney Crosby. you better text me."

I close my phone.

"Everything ok?"Sidney asks.

"That was just my cousin from Ohio. Unfortantely, Yvette told me we're on a date. I cant tell Vete anything. She has a mouth on her," I say.

"Don't tell her anything,"

I smile as Sid does.
Then we began to walk into the park.

"When do you have class again?"Sid asks.

"Thrusday in the morning, then in the afternoon I'll be at the rink,"I say.

"Ahh ,so when was the last time you was here?"

"it was in 2002, my family had a picnic here and it was fun. It was 12 days before my daddy died,"

"Aww, I'm sorry," sid says as he wraps his arm me.

"It's fine, it was a really happy memory that I have with my dad. We played flisbe,football and we just hanged out all day,"

Sid smiles as we head do to where the three rivers were.
I began to rub my arms with my hands as it was a little chilly.

"Here," Sid says as I watch him take off his sweater and places it on my shoulders.

"Don't you need it?"I ask.

"I have long slevees on and you need it more,"

I grab the edges and place my arms in.

"Thanks Sid. I'm dump to forget my jacket,"

"Your welcome and your not stuipd. You just forgot,"

"Yeah I guess so, so how's living with Mario?"

"It is pretty nice. I'm just like one of their children. i play with the kids. It's really active in that house. They treat me like there own,"

"Aww, Thanks for letting me meet Mario yesterday,"
He smile.

"He just walked in and says hi. i just told him your name,"

"Still, thank you. I've been a fan of Mario since I was 2 and that was in 1990. So I've been a fan of him for 17 years,"

"He's a great guy and hockey player. I need him to help coach you into a awesome player,"

"That would be cool, sorry if i'm excited over him its just to me he's my favortie player,"

"what about me?"

"You are a guy that I met at a hockey rink. Your just a person, not superstar Sidney Crosby. your just Sidney Crosby the person to me. If I was like i was with Mario, I would be asking you ALOT of questions and would ask you personate crap,"

Sidney smiles as i do.
"Thanks, most of the girls just like me cause I'm cute and sexy,"

I laugh as he does.
"Yeah they do. I've been arguing with Vette about your just a guy but she says he's Sidney Freakin Crosby. He's a hockey player that is popular here. It doesn't matter to me,"

"she's a fan,"

"I know. she's a bigger fan then i am,"

"We're going to change that soon. You'll be a big Penguins fan and not the Jackets,"

I smile as my cell phone began to ring.
"Dang it,"I say, grabbing from my pocket.

I open it up and place it by my ear.
"what do you want Vette?"I ask as I walk a little away from sidney.

"How was your date with Sid?"Vette asks.

"I'm still out with him, stop calling me,"

i hang up and walk back over to Sidney.
"Sorry, Miss Nosey just called,"

Sidney smile and says"Vette?"

"Yep,"

He shakes his head.
"So how was the appearnce today? i know you says it was good but what did you do?"

We walk more over to the point where all 3 rivers combined.
"I just sat a table with the guys and signed alot of autographs. Oh this one child came up to me and says" Thank you Sidney. i love you," She was so cute,"

"Aww,"

"So what did you do with your children today?"

"We just played a few games and did a rainbow painting on the acutal wall of the building. They loved it,"

"That sounds cute,"

Just as he says that he's cell phone goes off.
"Oh i'm sorry, let me see how it is," sidney says as he opens his phone up.

"Hello, hey Army. What? I can't right now, cause I can't. Army I'm not coming. No see you tomorrow,"Sidney says.

"Army?"

"yeah he wants me to come over to hang out with him and a few friends but I turned then down. I'll see all of them at pratice tomorrow,"

"Ah ok. why didn't you go after you drop me off at home?"

"Cause i'm not going to travel back across the city to where he lives at. I'll be 5 minutes when i drop you off. It would be pointless to travel back across the city,"

"Yeah it would be,"

"So you have any pets?"

"I actually have a dog back at my mothers house. His name is Lemieux, and yes he is named after Mario. Lemieux is about 10 years old so 70 in dog years. He's old,"

"I understand why you named him that at that time,"

"Do you have any animals?"

"I have a dog named Sam, she lives up in Nova Scotia with my parents when I'm not there,"

"Aww,"

"I miss her alot when I'm here,"

I make a sad face.
"I havent seen Lemieux in 2 years, since I began college because i havent had time too,"

"Understandable,"

"It's getting colder out here and I have a sweater on,"

"It is. lets head back,"

"Ok,"

I get beside Sidney and follow him back up to his car.
Getting onto the passinger side door, I open it up and climb into the car.

"Burr,"I say as I and Sidney closed our doors at the sametime.

"Let me turn on the heat,"Sidney says as he began the car up then turn on the heat.

"Hope it gets more warm soon,"

"It will, wow it's 10 already,"

"I didn't think it was that late,"

"You need to get home or no?"

"I dont need to but do you?"

"Yeah, i gotta get up early to workout,"

"See,"
Sidney shuts his eyes as he put the car in drive.

As he did we pulled out and heads under the bridge.

"Why didn't you tell me this was here?"Sid asks as we get into the turning lane.

"i didn't know it was here,"I say as sidney turns down the road to home.

"Thanks for taking me out tonight Sidney. i enjoyed myself,"I say.

"I enjoyed myself too. It was good to get out. If I wasn't out i'll probably be over at Cobly's playing videos games. We normally do that on Tuesday nights,"

"Oh got ya. i normally just hang around my house for most of the week. i dont get out that often,"

"You need to,"

"yeah but i don't. the only thing I go out is with vette to a game or something else. She goes to bars for fun, so i never go with her cause i dont drink,"

"Ah ok, I dont drink neither. Its bad for you,"

"It is. My father dranked and smoked, so i knew i didnt want to be like him when I was older,so i avoid all that,"

"Good thing,"

"Have you ever drank beer?"

"A few but it was up in canada and the legal age up there is 19 years old,"

"Oh ok. I never knew that,"

"It's true,"

"So do you sleep in a guest room at Mario's house?"

"No, I actually have my own wing,"

"oh cool, is it big?"

"yeah but it has no kicthen,"

I smile.
"Oh well,"

"So when did you move away from home?"

" 2 years ago, in the summer of 2005,"

"Thats when I moved down here,"

"Cool,"


15 minutes pass as Sidney pulls in front of my house.

"thanks again for taking me out tonight Sidney,"I say as I open the door.

"Hold on, i'll walk you to the door,"Sidney says as He gets out of the car.

I watch as he walks across the front of his car and pulls the door open.
"thank you,"I say as i hop down out of his car.

"Your welcome,"Sidney says.

We walk beside one another until we reach my door.
"Well thanks again for the great night out sidney,"

"your welcome. I'll call you sometime,"

"alright, night,"

"Night,"
i open my door and walk inside.

And as soon as I walk in my cell goes off.
Grabbing it i head to my room to change.

I open it to a text"You done yet? It's 10;45!!"
Vette.

I throw my phone on the bed as I relize that i had Sidney's sweater on.

Taking it off, I set it on my bed as I change from my shirt and pants into my PJ's.
Throwing my cloths in the hamper, i pick up the phone as I lay on the bed.
I text her saying" I'm home,"

As soon as i sent that my phone rang.
Hitting talk i hear" How was your date?"

"It was fine Vette,"I say.

"Fine? what did you do?"Vette asks.

"Ok don't tell no one, including kim!,"

"Sorry,"

"Vette, ok he took me downtown for dinner,"

"Nice, what else did you do?"

"Just talked, got to know one another,"

"Dang, thats boring,"

"You'll be doing the samething with Geno tomorrow night,"

"No, I'm taking him out,"

"Right,"

"So did Sid kiss you?"

"Vette thats my personal info, not your,"

"Come on. I'm your bestest friend,"

"No we didn't kiss vette, dont be talling no one this. i trust you Yvette and I know you trust me,"

"I won't tell no one Leah, you got my word,"

"Good, not I'm going to bed so talk to you after your class,"

"Ok night,"

Hanging up my phone I turn off the light to go to bed.
