Will it be you?- Chapter 9

I lay on my mother's chest as I hear a noise that i didn't want to hear.

Then I felt as someone pulling me off of her.
"They'll be here any minute,"Jack says as he forcefully rip me from my mom's chest, taking me over to the farthest counter of the room.

Then the doctors came in as I see what they were doing to my mom
Tears began to fall as I rush out of the room.

"Aaylah,"

I look up to see Yvette running over to me.
Rushing into her arms, I began to cry more and more.

"Shh it will be ok,"Vette says as she rubs my back.
I stay in her arms, I wanted to crawl into a hole and die so my whole family will be together again but I knew I couldnt do something like that, no matter how I felt.

"Leah, she's revived,"I hear Jack say.

I didn't wanna go back in there and let her die on my like that again.
Wouldn't be able to take it twice.

"You wanna go back in and see your mom?"Vette asks, softly.

"No, I dont wanna be in there if it happens again. If she does it again I couldnt take it, Vette,"I say as I rub my tears off my face.

"Just try,"

"Alright, for her i will,"

Turning around I head back into her room as Jack was sitting by her.

"You scared Aaylah baby. She is so messed up right now with you being in this stage. If you come back, come back for her,"

And as he said that i walk over to him.
"Thanks Jack,"I whisper.

"It's the truth. She's your mom,"Jack says.

"But she's your wife that you love,"

"I know but you love her more then I do,"

"Thats not true, we both love her alot,"

"True, I'm gonna miss her if she leaves me,"
He begins to cry.

"I'm going to miss her too Jack. she's my mom and I've known her my whole life. I cant live without her nor you,"

"Me?"

"Your like my friend Jack, not a father but a friend. you aleast mean something to me,"

"thank you aaylah,"
He stands up and hugs me.

"It's the truth,"I say as that flat line noise began.

Jack again pulled me over to the counter as the doctors rushed in.
This time i stay as I cry with Jack.
It's hard seeing your mother in a hosptial bed going back and forth into life and death.
I close my eyes.
If my mother passes on, it might be a good thing but I would understand if she does.

Standing with Jack, I open my eyes as they stop working on mom.
"I'm so deeply sorry folks,"He says.

"She for good?"Jack asks.

"Yes, i'm afraid so. I'm sorry,"

Tears then roll down from my eyes as Jack hugs me.
"She's gone,"jack says.

"I know," I cry out.

For a few minutes I stay like that with him.
"I gotta go Jack, I'll call you later about planning you know what,"I say.

"I love you,"Jack says.

"I love you too,"

Wiping off my tears, I walk back into the hall to see Sidney and Evgeni sitting with Vette.
Then Sidney sees me and comes out of the waiting room as Vette and Evgeni was behide him.
Instead of saying anything to any of them, i wrap my arms around Sidney.
Being in his arms was safety.
He instently begins rubbing my back as everything was silent.

After a few minutes I let go of Sidney.

"You ok?"Sidney asks.

"Mom passed on, for good this time,"I say.

"I'm sorry to hear that,"Sidney says as I watch Vette cry a little.

"Me too. Can we get outta here? i dont wanna be here anymore,"I say.

"Yeah,"Sidney says as we all walk out of the hosptials front doors.

Worst experince, EVER!!!!!

"You wanna go home now?"Vette asks.

"please,"I say.

"Can geno and I tag along?"Sidney asks.

"Sure, i dont care,"I say as I head to Vette's car.

Opening the door i climb in as she does as well.
I begin to cry again.
I lost my mother, again.
Now she was truely with my father now.

"Oh Leah,"Vette says as she puts her arms around me to hug me in the car.

"I cant believe she's gone Vette. I just can't,"

"Neither can I,"

"I know she's happy now. she's with my dad,"

After a few more minutes, Vette un hugs me.
"Ready to go home?"Vette asks.

"Yeah. I need home,"I say.

She backs out as we head out for the 45 minutes drive home.
The whole ride was silent.

As she pulls up into my apartment complex, Sidney was already parked out front.
When the car stops, I unfasten my seatbelt, open my door ,and got out of the car.
Rushing through the front, I walk up the stairs to the second level.
As I reach the top, i see Sidney and Evgeni sitting down on the wood porch.

"Hey. We've only been here for 5 minutes or so,"Sidney says.

"Ok,"I say as I turn to see Vette unlocking my door.
She has my keys.

As soon as she opens it I walk in as I walk back to my room.
I couldn't believe that she was gone.

"Hey,"I hear Sidney says.
I look up to see him standing there.

"Hi,"I say.
He then walks into the room and sat down in the same place he did before.

"I've lost her for the finaly time,"I say.

"I'm sure she is looking down on you right now,"Sidney says.

"Probably and so is my dad,"

"They are looking after their daughter,"
I smile a little.

"Thats what I wanna see. I know its going to take you awhile to let it sink in. It did for me when my grandfather died by I got through it. I miss him alot,".
He begins to cry a little bit.

"Don't cry Sidney,"I say as i move over to my as I hug him.
He hugs me back.

"Thank you Aaylah,"Sidney says as he wipes his eyes off.

I watched as he tried to control his crying.
"Excuse me for a minute,"

He gets up as he heads into my bathroom.

As he did Vette walks in.

"You doing ok?"Vette asks.

"Yeah. I want her back,"I say.

"I know you do, thats what i wanted when my parents died over 4 years ago. I'm still going through their death but you cant see it. I'm not eveb over the fact that they are dead. The fact that i live about 3 hours away from my younger brother and my aunt, hurts me. Family needs to stick with family,'

"I know but I'm different and you know that. I dont get over things easily, expectally deathes,"

"I know,Where's Sidney at?"

"He's in the bathroom,"

"Oh ok, you wanna watch a movie?"

"Sure,"

"alright, Sid i know you can hear me, would you like to too?"vette asks as she knocks on the door.

"ok,"Sid says as Vette walks on out.

As she does sidney walks out of the bathroom.

"Sorry for making you cry, Sid,"I say.

"It wasn't your fault. It was my own. Your mothers death pulled old memories of when he died, thats all,"

"I'm still sorry,"

"Your ok,"

"You two coming?"Vette asks.

"Yeah,"I say as I walk out of my room as I see Vette sitting beside Evgeni with his hand on her leg.

"sit anywhere,"I say as I walk over and sit on my loveseat.
I watch as sidney makes a face.

i smile as i put my feet onto my couch as Sidney Sits on the floor.

"You want to sit up here?"

"No I'm find down here thank you,"Sidney says.

"Alright,"

As the movie began, I secretly watch as Evgeni and Vette get closer to on another.

"Don't be doing that in my house,"i say as they jump.

Then Sidney got in my way as he sat next to Evgeni on the couch.
